Yellow leaf Tips Persimmon

What’s going on with the yellow leaf ends on Jiro. From fertilizer or normal?

I don’t recall seeing just yellow tips so yours may have an interesting issue.

My persimmon tree Fuyu is uniformly yellow during early spring. In fact the whole tree looks strikingly yellow from afar.

Yes this one was kind of yellow as well as several others around the neighborhood. Then they turn green. I’ll have to take a look at the other trees and see but I don’t remember the tips getting like this before. I put the tree in ground several months ago. Love that profile pic! Thanks.

I just sprayed the tree with some Iron/zinc and a little Epsom salts. After I posted I began to wonder if it could be a Potassium deficiency since the little tree must have 150 persimmons this year. I did feed it some Pennington Ultragreen 10-5-5 citrus and avocado ago before the rain and that stuff seems pretty strong but maybe it still need some k?

It’s normal for Jiro, nothing to worry about.

Leaves of Jiro trees, more so than Fuyu leaves, appear chlorotic in the early spring, especially after a cold, wet winter.
