Young Apples - tiny red spots

Hi,

I live near Houston, and I have this Apple tree that seems pretty healthy, and produces a lot of little apples. I don’t know much about apples at all.
I have put some pictures here to show my issue.

So many of the little apples have this tiny red dots starting to develop all over them.

I have tried to google it, but can’t seem to figure out what it is.

Does anyone:

  1. Know what this is?
  2. Know what causes it?
    Or 3. Know how to treat it!?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like San Jose scale.

No problem at all. I haven’t dealt with it yet, but I have seen pictures of it. So I’m not sure the best course of action on it. Maybe someone else here has some knowledge on how to help.
