Planted this Salish summer during the winter and the tree is leafing out, I see some of the young leaves are falling off after turning pinkish color. What is happening?

Color of your peach leaves look very nice and dark green.
In my two young donut peach trees, I also see some smaller leaves turn color (orange for me) and fall off. My hypothesis is that the leaves are shaded, and thus are are getting dropped by the tree.
Love to hear others’ expertise.
