Akizuki is clearly the best pear i ever eat! More a candy than a fruit!

If you are interested in interesting trivia about pears, ARS-Grin shows a variety of pear as unavailable and no longer in the collection named “Honey Vase”. Look through Santiam’s list of varieties and you will find “Honey Jar” which is almost certainly the same pear. Santiam has some good varieties that are rarely available elsewhere.
