Yumi watermelons have come back to my grocery store. It is the best watermelon we’ve ever had, and we did a happy dance and bought as many as we could. Does anyone in commercial growing know about it? I can’t find any information on a patent. I know it came from Hokkaido and is only grown in Washington and CA. Any hope it might be available to the public to grow anytime in the future?
And, can anyone confirm that a black seed from a seedless watermelon will germinate?
