In my memory, and limited Mirabelle experiences, Mirabelle is very sweet in general, at least the one I grow is very sweet, sweeter than European plum if full ripen.

It is a plum in Europe so it is hard to know what they have in Denmark that we don’t in the US.

Like Annie said, all mirabelles here are sweet to very sweet. My unripe mirabelles are sweeter than some regular ripe Asian plums.

Maybe, @Stan may know.

I agree with you but not everyone know when to pick plums for me before joining forum I was doing most of the things wrong. As you can see those plums are picked way too early and definitely need some more time. I told my sister let hang these more and sugar will improve. She did not do any thinning too and tree is very young.

Person who identified plum on Facebook was the source of the tree and said leave plums longer at the tree. Tree is very young may be second leaf and will improve after couple of years.

I usually let the birds tell me when to pick, I had one Shiro plum this season, I was waiting for it to ripening up, and a few days later, the birds already got to it. But if I have a few, I should be able to have some.

Harvested half of my raised bed Silver N Gold sweet corn. I am very happy with the results, this corn was only grown in compost no fertilizer at all. Will harvest rest tomorrow.

These do not look like Mirabelle to me. Also leaves do not match. My bet is these are Myrobalan plums (a.k.a. cherry plums, P. cerasifera). Cherry plums rarely go by a variety, most are nameless seedlings.

I agree. The closest one to those pics (not necessarily the same) is Naidyonisch myrobalan plum. You can search this forum for a couple of posts on tasting this in the Wolfskill early stone fruit tasting. I got a couple of scions this season and grafted them. Hopefully it will produce some fruits in 1-2 years to evaluate. @Naeem, I can send you a scion next season if you want.

We got some good rain this weekend… I planted these roma 2 bush beans after pulling my corn… I have 2 double rows like this. They are growing nicely. Hope to pressure can a bunch of these this fall.

This double row of okra has some burgundy red in it (got seed from hoss tools) burgendy red stalks and pods… taste great and very pretty in jars.

My big beef tomatoes went up and over my cattle panel… and are now hanging off the back side… still loading up with fruit.

Great looking garden!

Thank you @BlueBerry… I got it hoed nicely this week, then we got a good rain.

My neighbor asked me earlier this year why there is never any weeds in my garden… I told him “I don’t like weeds”.

And I have a very small garden now… 10’ x 40’… in a hour or so, with my 7 and 4 inch stirrup hoe, I can have it looking good.

How big are they? In inches, across. A mirabelle is usually no more than an inch across, for Nancy. Metz are a bit smaller with red specks, also can be a bit oval.

You amaze me how organize your plantation is, plus the abundance stuff it produces. Hats of to you.

Those gages look great. It looks like it has that firm jelled texture inside when they are almost like candy.
