A new follow plugin has been installed

OK by popular request there is a new follow plugin so you can follow some of your favorite posters and get notices when they post. See

I just enabled it and it may take awhile for it to start working for you.

When it is working you will see a “follow” button on the user card page (the little rectangle that pops up when you click on someone’s icon), just click the button to add that user to the users you are following.

There also are some preferences for it under your preferences, including a way to turn it off if you don’t want anyone following you (click on your icon in the upper right, then click on the little human icon, then click on Preferences, then click on Notifications, then scroll down).

To see a feed of all the posts by the people you are following, click on your icon in the upper right, then click on the little human icon, then click Summary, and at the top there will be a tab called “Follows”, click on that.

Way to "follow" a member?

Hi, is there a way to follow a member? In other words I would like to see or get notifications when they specifically make posts or replies. The reason for this is because I have found that some more experienced orchardists follow certain ideologies that I wish to practice.

Have to play devil’s advocate here. What if it is an ex or kooky person{often one in the same} trying to follow you? Can they be blocked???

They can find your posts in any case from your page or searching your name. If you don’t like the follow system in general you can just turn it off by following the instructions above, then nobody can follow you. Individual users can be blocked from messaging you but following appears to be all or none.
