Blessed with plants

I was walking around the farm today and a previously unknown monster elderberry plant caught my eye.

At the base stood a small red mulberry tree! My hand is 8 inches long for reference.

I didn’t realize I had red mulberry growing wild till today. I only knew of the elderberry bushes since early last month.
In addition to those I’ve found a plenty of spiceberry, black walnut, hickory, pawpaw, wild blackberry, black caps, etc. I feel blessed to have so many tasty and useful plant on our property!

Sounds like you have a very interesting property. Lots of diversity.

@Ethancactus.. I have similar situation.. just blessed with lots of nice plants… wild muacadines, blackberries, black cherry, dewberry, etc..

I was working in my orchard this week and went over to the edge of the woods… walked about 50 ft.. and found 5 wild persimmons between 4 and 6 ft tall.

They just pop up and grow everywhere here.
