Blueberry Leaf Issues

Does this look like rust?

It could be especially given it’s in a greenhouse. But it also looks like old leaves from last year that are on their way out.

Thank you for your opinion, think I should spray with copper?

The greenhouse isn’t really much of a greenhouse, the roof on it is shade cloth.

We have two tiny cheap greenhouses that ended up not helping at all in winter, but somehow helped cook things in the summer. So my husband took off the roof and put shade cloth over it instead which really helps in summer.

The real reason my four blueberry plants are in there is because last year deer and squirrels made a snack of them and so I hid them away to let them recover. We haven’t actually gotten blueberries, except when they came with blueberries on them.

We will see what happens this year. We did get a lot of growth back, but I think a lot of those leaves are from last year (as you mentioned) and so have been hit with temperature fluctuations, snow, rain, etc.

Spraying won’t help with those old leaves. It’s new leaves with spots that can be a concern. I think you are OK.

Thanks, I just transplanted the Sharp Blue into a 10 gallon, I saw branches from the soil visible on the side of the perimeter when I unpotted it, so I am glad I up-sized its pot.

I used happy frog with some peat moss on top. I will have to check the ph but I am sure it will be happier with more room for today.

The other pic was of Legacy. It is in a bigger pot to began with, so I am sure it is okay right this minute.

Sweetheart lost its leaves and is now growing more, lot of red color. Looks great, but didn’t have as much growth as the other three.

And last I have pink lemonade, which looks really great health wise and also had dropped most of its leaves like sweetheart. They were all in the same greenhouse. I don’t know why some dropped leaves and some didn’t.

What does the back side of the leaf look like?

I believe I remember that other side looks perfectly fine, but it has snowed now, so I’ll get a picture after the sun comes out for a bit.

I think that with rust the opposite side typically has yellow orange spots on it. Perhaps septoria or rust and it is just that the colored spores are long gone.

Thank you so much for that information. I love how much I learn on this site and I still have a long way to go
