These 80 degree days really pushed things along. My Asian pears normally bloom a week or 2 after that peach tree.

@PharmerDrewee … love the green grass and blossoms. It looks much the same here in TN today… we may be a tad ahead of you. Dogwoods in full bloom now and poplars have 2 inch leaves.

Wild azalea… i have around 20 of these… some white some pink. The smell is heavenly.

The deerberry are just about to break out in bloom.

After the first 6 flowers on “Duke” behaved mostly like flower type A (albeit delayed on cooler days), the latest flower is just now starting to open in the early afternoon as :female_sign:, so that seems more like type B behavior:

This is a great example of why I think flowering type is somewhat pointless when picking complementary avocado cultivars for cool climates.

Lovely blooms. I have those two and Bartlett with multiple additional grafts. This is the first bloom year for either pear, but not as full as yours. I hope lots of European pears in my future!

@Naeem … how old is your sweet cherry ?

I have 5 yr old lapins… very stout and healthy looking tree… has not fruited yet…

The previous 2 years it bloomed some… just a few… but no fruit set. This year it had what looked like lots of fruit buds on it… but nothing but leaves came out of those. Not one single blosssom this year.

I added 5 grafts of Montmorency to it this spring… hoping that a pie cherry might actually produce some fruit.

Yours have so many blossoms now… sure wish mine would do that ? Do yours actually produce fruit ? and if they do… what varieties are doing best for you.

Thanks
