Here you can see planters with many flowers, most that were bulbs I planted last fall. Those tulips in ground were planted several years ago and keep coming back. My goal at that time was to get varieties that were similar to the antique broken types, with two colors showing. I also am showing the carpet of strawberries and some which flower and fruit right now.

Also if you seek it you can find a few spikes of a peony that are coming up from a bit of root they missed! I hope it flowers and I can cut some for my grandparents graves before they dig it out again.

Does anyone recognize this? It has a strong honey-like scent and is trained as a high hedge:

The smell is incredible.

Spring is finally beginning to Spring here. The fruit trees that get sun plus additional sun reflected off of the vinyl fence they are close to are leading the pack. First apricot opened 2 days ago. One or two brave peach trees opened a couple of flowers today. All others including asian and euro plums remain tight.

Apricots - multiple varieties - full size root stock (I assume lovell?)

First pollinator:

Apricot further away from fence on Citation rootstock is lagging a little behind:

A handful of Earlystar blossoms:

Early Redhaven very close to the fence is thinking about it…

Maybe Osmanthus armatus?

Thanks for the tips! I looked at all the Osmanthus species that have wiki pages and either delavayi or the × burkwoodii hybrid described here seem like the closest match, as they are winter/spring bloomers, while armatus flowers in the fall and fragrans in late summer or early fall:

What is the name of that yellow paphiopedilum. It is quite lovely on that long stem above those mottled leaves.

You’re much better off buying bulbs in the fall. 10 bulbs for $3.50 last fall, and you’ll get flowers the next spring instead of who knows how long.

got a small bowl off of mine last summer. was loaded with blooms but only about a third set. it was its 1st time fruiting. wasn’t pollination as there was a carmine jewel, Romeo, Monty and another Julliet in bloom about the same time within 50’ of each other and i saw the bumbles working them all. i guess that’s normal in the 1st year. i should be into the cherries this year. my red Nanking also had some fruit but this year my younger white one should bloom this spring to pollinate it better for a better crop.

Yup, that’s what I’ve seen with the romance cherries. You get a big bloom or two with lowish fruit set, and then the plant catches up in its ability to carry the fruit and you start getting 80%+ set.

They all look great!

Showy blossoms on Glenglo.

Non-showy flowers on Intrepid.

Haskaps are flowering well this year. Their tubular flowers seem to attract bumblebees as opposed to the various mason bees and other solitary species that prefer peach and plum.
