Are all edible fiddlehead fern varieties smooth?

Been looking for them but have a bunch of hairy ones like this popping up and something tells me i can’t eat them

My Goumi a bit behind @TNHunter probably a little less sun. Also my sweet scarlet berries are the size of my Carmine graft pretty cool

It’s been a banner year for flowers in my area too. All the flowering shrubs and trees are loaded, and the air smells like perfume. The Oregon Grape are especially bright.

My tiny Montmorency cherry wants spend its energy on flowers… you still need to grow, buddy.

This peach almost died, but it’s still putting up an effort.

Apples and pears look great. This should be my first year getting a decent amount of fruit.

Bonus chocolate lilies.

i dont know about other edible ones just the ostrich that grows here. it’s a deep green when it first comes out of the reddish husk. there’s no doubt what it is when you see them. they have a distinctive smell also. alot like fresh asparagus.

That is amazing Ethancactus. Took me the 4 full growing seasons. 5th season to get abundance of blossoms. My growing season is short.

These are two GoldRush on B9 I grafted to give to a friend. I’m not comfortable with them fruiting yet, either.

Appears that some of my apricot and peach blossoms survived the April snow!

Referring to Gold Rush? Are you able to ripen apples in your zone? I’ve been wanting to plant Gold Rush myself but am worried my season is too short (Z6a).

Honey Jar getting a lot of blooms going

Oak leaf papaya blooming I’m shocked

My sherbet berry plant came back, and with blooms to boot. I didn’t protect it at all was expecting it to die. A Eugenia uniflora seedling also survived no protection, stoked on that.

Nice. What kind of alligator pear you growing?

I have a pancho and Lila (the one holding fruits) gonna wait to thin because I’m sure it will drop maybe all of them. I’d love to let it ripen one, it’s been in the ground for 3 years at least maybe 4.

All the rain beat up the flowers last week as soon as they opened. I did see a few bees getting busy though.

Hopefully will get to try a few winesap this year.

My small mirabelle combo might bear again this year.

I lost the label a few years ago on this one. Everything is just bursting awake since last week.
