Burnt ridge :-/

Today it appears they ran out of Bud118 but packaged and shipped my order, without.

I informed them this wasn’t ok, as I might have changed my order, and asked that they make it right by sending whatever combination of B118, antonokova, m111, and/or G222 they had, at the B118 price, but we will see.

I like burnt ridge, I think they are a great deal for the money. But I also ordered in Feb, and actually asked them when they’d be sending, and encouraged them to send mine a few weeks ago. Which they did not, but I can understand. However, I ordered 15 or 20 stocks from them, it was a good chunk of the cost and rationale for my order…and when I did encourage them to send sooner it was because I knew a work trip was coming, so now I should not only be missing my rootstocks, but my bare-root stuff is all coming most likely while I am hanging out in Frederick and Rockville, MD instead of at home to plant it for a week.

to that end I again wish they would have let me know before just sending it out with a post-packaging note to inform me…

Call them and talk with then on the phone. Email issues never get resolved easily. Too much time back and forth. Talk to someone there at Burnt Ridge that actually has some authority to do something, manager, owner, etc… I hate dealing with problems with emails. Things get lost in translation and reading them. Hope they can get things resolved for you.

Fair is fair, and i dont like to smear anyone, so an update:

Burnt ridge would not credit me in any way. On the flip side, they DID send a quote replacing my 15 bud118 w 15 g222, and they were going to charge $3-something to ship instead of the shipping chart, with their price being based on the “net total” of those and my prior order and me just paying the difference for going from like $70 to $110…

It was not an ideal fix but an effort. I ended up instead buying m111 at northwestern ciderworks; i wanted b118 but m111 was a closer fit than the genevas because i wanted large wildlife trees. Pity i got m111 instead of the b118 but burnt ridge tried to make things right(er) and i got a satisfactory resolution. Still not my favorite but I wouldn’t hesitate to work with BUrnt ridge again…
