Does anyone know a source for his Apple discoveries? He has discovered quite a few long lost Apple varieties, most listed as extinct until he was able to locate them. I don’t even know if he’s still alive, by my calculations he’s in his mid 70s now. Surprised he’s not talked about more. I have 3 or 4 of his varieties I’ve been able to collect but it’s a shame they aren’t more widely disseminated as I’d love to have a multi graft tree just dedicated to his hard work. If anyone knows anything more please tell. Thank you.

Interesting. His nursery address is 681 Maplewood Rd, Lester, West Virginia. 25865. A satellite view shows quite a few orderly rows of trees. An article says write for a pamphlet of the apples. He sounds pretty cool!

I tried tracking him down a long time ago and believe he told me he keeps a very low profile on purpose. And that was that.
