Chinese Preserved Plums

Over three decades ago I worked with someone who immigrated from China and he shared some Chinese preserved plums with me.

They were in a white wrapper, wrapped in the style of a Lindt truffle and I don’t remember the ink coloring or what they said on them because it was in Chinese, but I tried to buy some that looked similar and they were not the same at all.

The one I tried was salty and sweet and delicious to eat straight out of the wrapper

Does anyone know what variety or brand the one shared could have been?

On another note, does anyone know what plum they use for these wonderful treats?

Did it look something like this? There are a few flavors

That might just be it!

I will have to locate that one to try it.

Thank you!

Depends on tge flavor, these below are popular traditional Chinese fruit snacks.
One is more dry, salty and sour, the other is moisture and sweeter. They are all made with plums.
You can get them from weee too.
