So, in nearly 7 years, have you produced any red fleshed apples,
(and did you like).?

Very nice. My Red Devil hasn’t bloomed, but I made a couple extra grafts of it…and they have taken.

Looks beautiful. Have you tried the fruit from it before? I planted one this year and can’t wait for it to bear some fruit.

Hi Luis,

That is interesting, I have a scion of something named Red Devil that I got in a trade a couple of years ago, but that one does not have red leaves or purple flowers…
Where did you get your trees?

But the red devil variety is like that… This small tree i got from Bulgaria. I will have another one that is arriving this days… I will tell you when she arrives if it’s a good tree.

Not familiar / that variety. It produce red fleshed apples? (I presume it does.)
Tell us if they’re any good.

Is it under patent?

I haven’t tried it yet, as it was a graft I did last year. And i haven’t found much information on it really. But it’s supposed to be a red fleshed apple. I’ll message the person I got it from and see if he has any information on it.

The only information I found on it was from a MSU program on anthocyan apples with cranberry apple otterson apple and some others as well.

There is a bud sport of Fuji named Irene that does not appear to be red fleshed.
There is also a crabapple called Irene Crabapple that is red fleshed.

It may be the crabapple because it’s a small apple around 3/4 inch in diameter is what the guy told me I got it from.

Thanks Andy, but the red leaves in his photo aren’t likely to be a sport of Fuji.
(But if it is…I need one! LOL)
