Just wanted to post on here that my 2nd leaf Fan-Stil pear has numerous blooming spur sites with less than 50 chill hours this year. To be honest I’m probably in the negative (ie; ZERO chill) range if you factor in the early winter heat waves we had this year.
Ill let you know if the tree sets fruit as well as include some photos. My current photos are terrible!
Fan-Stil may be a good option for a fruiting pear in low chill southern California.
