Three syconia that emerged last November on an LSU DC-6 clone. They are now about 1" diameter. It has been unusually warm here the past three weeks. The plant was brought indoors after dark for the photo.

P.S. LSU did not manufacture aircraft.

Apologies if this is a stupid question as I don’t know anything about figs but find your project interesting to follow. How is the plant growing them without any leaves?

The leaves dropped – as they did on many of the cultivars here, but the roots are still active. Thus, it is essential to water (moderately) during rainless weeks of our winter.

All but one of the cuttings have sprouted. At least one of each cultivar is growing. A few of them have roots emerging through the screens in the bottom of the pots. They will soon go outside.
