Grown in my greenhouse. It was big! Had to pick it a little soon because ants were attacking them all but was good. It was weird. I picked it almost a month sooner than when I grew them outside. What flat peaches do you gurus like?
I’m grafting my Tangos over to something else. They haven’t been that good. Impossible to pick without damaging most of the fruit. I’ve got much better nectarines and much better peaches. Sweet Dream must be 5 times the size of Tangos this yr.
When does sweet dream ripen for you down there? I have it now…but no fruit…but its growing nicely. I put it in a 25 gallon pot.
I have Galaxy with just a couple fruits…still small …
Do you grow any other flats? These Galaxy were pretty big. I think it may need one o fb the largest flats. When I grew them outdoors everyone seemed to love them. I stillrefer nectarines for sure though. I would try sweet dream too if it were ever available.

Wish I could plant Sweet Dream in ground here. Bought a bunch of them from Boyer nursery last year. Couldn’t believe such a large peach tatsted that good. I will be there again this August. Definitely will buy more.
I’m probably going to pick mine this week.[quote=“wildscaper, post:4, topic:11439”]

I had the Tangos 2 or whatever but it died before fruiting. Haven’t tried Saturn or Galaxy.
I love the flat nectarine from DWN but it’s even smaller than Tangos and has never set a decent crop. It may be my best tasting white nectarine. But I’m debating about grafting it over.
I have sweet bagel donut with a bunch of fruit…ever try that one? While on the topic of taste…how about Summer Silk nectarine? they have this weird oblong shape…look cool…but have no idea what to expect.
I have got to investigate, but i may have already lost my tangos 2 from acn… it sprouted from the rootstock…was still hoping it would send out a shoot from the scion…but its getting late.
Best tasting white huh. Now that is a bold statement coming from you! I will say at least for me Galaxy sized up really good and I have had a hard time getting my container stuff up to size sometime. Flavor is good too everyone seemed to really like it.
All my Tangos fell off today in the heat and wind. The Contenders too.
I prefer Saturn to Galaxy. While Galaxy is about 50% larger, Saturn has much richer flavor in my opinion. I would add Galaxy if it was not ripening at the same time as Saturn, it just doesn’t make sense for me to grow them both. Regardless of the size, I would not compare Saturn and Galaxy to Sweet Dream, which is a yellow peach with a very different flavor profile. Also, when grown outside of a greenhouse, Sweet Dream ripens about 3-4 weeks later that Saturn and Galaxy, so they aren’t competitors.
Haven’t grown Saturn yet and I may or may not add anymore flats as I really have my hands full these days! Good to know though. I would add Sweet Dreams though. Were did you get yours from?
ACN had them.
I have a lot of Saturn this year on several trees…i think i over grafted it.
I have a Saturn tree, and tried Galaxy from a U-Pick Orchard and Sweet Dream from a fruit stand. Sweet Dream’s patent expired in 2016, so scions should be available.
Is it too delicate? It’s a peach?
In defense of TangOs, when thinned like a normal peach (meaning less poundage per tree) so each fruit gets about 30 leaves, it sizes up and tastes much better than the ones I see in stores and is an exceptionally highly flavored peach as grown in the northeast. My clients go nuts for them. I love them as something much different than your typical luscious peach with a firmer texture (no, not rubbery when properly ripened!). I also tend to prefer nectarines to peaches although I need to have both for their contrasts, but TangOs is almost like a third type of fruit.
Location, location.
I don’t bother with any white saucer peaches although I can see why some love them.
Nice! If I cant find a tree and may search that route instead. Thanks!
Did they have them on the home grower side? Thank you.

I think so… I only ordered 3 trees from them…i got that Ambre nectarine and a Tangos 2.
Yes, Sweet Dream is a peach. It tastes excellent ( to me) and it is large. It looks like it is not very cold hardy for my zone 6a ( sometimes 5 b).
I don’t want to plant a whole tree but would love to graft it on one of my peach trees.
I got them from Boyer Nursery. I check a plant zone Hardiness, that nursery is in either zone 6 b or 7 a, warmer than mine.
I believe that most peaches fall into a similar range of winter hardiness. It is chill hours that are important for warm climate growers and spring flower bud hardiness (or lateness) for all growers with winter. I’m just saying that if you aren’t right on the cusp most peach trees should survive there most winters judging from my experience. It is a rare winter that is warm enough for, say, Reliant (or is it Reliance) flower buds but too cold for Jon Boy.
But you must already know this, so maybe Sweet Dream is something different.
