I had a graft of Honey Halo at my old property in Delaware that fruited for me in 2020 and the fruit was excellent, I love it. It ripened mid-late season (late August), just after Arctic Jay.

Did you get these trees this season? Where did you buy them from?

I picked up the two nectarine trees at Costco yesterday in Redding, California.

Thank you for responding. I was hoping they were good choices but I was on my one hour lunch so I did not have time to research before throwing them in my cart. They hardly had any trees left and they said that was the third batch they got, and I shop there often and that was the first time I saw any trees.

They are on nemaguard rootstock and nice caliper trunk, the honey halo is especially thick.

The Honey Halo is a donut/flatter shaped variety right? The tag with the pic was gone but the grower identity info was still attached.

I have not either, and there is very limited info online as well.

I only grabbed it last minute because it said:

“The Supreme Red nectarine is best adapted to the cooler Pacific Northwest.”

I originally was only going to get the Honey Halo, because I don’t have a doughnut peach or nectarine already.

Burchell Nursery told me they sold the website “Tomorrows Harvest” but that I could still use it for tree variety information.

Do you happen to remember what the blossoms look like on your honey halo? This tree here has small blossoms that are darker pink

In comparison, the supreme red nectarine, has big showy light pink blossoms.

I was trying to take pictures of the blossoms but really they looked a lot better before I crammed the trees into my car. The trees are OK. It’s just the blossoms took a hit. I was really sore because I had to hold them at angles and protect them to get them in, and they were pretty heavy, a lot of water came out of the bottom when I tipped them to get them in the car. And I did this on my one hour lunch lol. I don’t know why I can’t leave Costco without fruit trees when they have them. Maybe someone should start fruit trees anonymous.

I vaguely remember that the blossoms were showy, and yours are. I could be wrong though, as it was 4 years ago. Pretty soon you will have a fruit set and will be able to see whether it is a donut nectarine or not.
