How is your weather? (Part 2)

Finally felt like Fall. The leaves are changing colors. The rain is coming down. The leaves are falling from the top making a pile. Cherish the warm day in the cool season. Waking up to warm beacon to start the morning right.

Looking dry around here the next 7-10 days. The coldest air of the season shows up late next week/weekend. A week from Monday would have lows nearing that 0F. Which seems crazy with no snow cover. I’d imagine a warm up after.

0 or colder with little to no snow cover seems to happen here quite frequently. Those temps sort out hardy plants/rootstocks from the not so hardy

The ground really freezes deep in those conditions. The lake/river will start freezing up. I would imagine early ice fishing is going to be possible.

The cat show up the next day. First sign of trouble, this cat will bail on you. Don’t expect this cat to save you. We becomes friend, when it was a full adult. It does no like to be pat or carry to often.

Rain this morning. More clouds today. With the colder air moving in later today and the next week sunshine is looking like it finally makes a return. By late week we see highs in the low 20Fs.

We’re making ice now. The small lake that forms my west border is skimmed over all the way across today.

that air mass is supposed to hit us this weekend. 0 ice here so far.

Coldest spot i see is Fergus Falls, MN which hit 3F, but clouds may have stopped the drop.

21F here for a low… Finally a sunny day!

The low was 9 on our house thermometer this a.m. Fergus is about 90 minutes WNW of here.

Feels chillier that it has the last few years. Not sure if it actually is. Good for my plants to help them get acclimated. Hopefully no freezes in December :crossed_fingers:

Some guys i was talking to today think there will be guys on the ice by this weekend. I figure next week for sure. We might not go back above freezing until next Weds.

East central Saskatchewan, into true winter now, about a foot of fluffy snow, around -25C (-13f) Very pretty, but pretty chilly. Not looking fwd to -40 but it doesn’t usually last very long.
Lately very still. Winter winds are the killer of fruit trees here.

No highs close to above freezing in our 10 day. Winter appears to be here for good. I wouldn’t mind one bit if I was wrong though

Finally going to get 4 nights or so below 40. Should settle down things from wanting to extend their growing season. After my Flavor Grenade probably spent 80% of it’s flower buds in an extended fall bloom :frowning:, I now have a grafted branch of Shiro popping blooms.

It’s a balmy 5 this morning. The clouds didn’t clear out overnight, if they would have I’d guess we would have had our first sub zero low of the fall.

Random snowflakes out there.

18F here but that wind is brutal. Minot is sitting at -13F. Lots of subzero across North Dakota.
