We hit 56F yesterday. Took a couple mile walk. Almost felt like spring. 53F today. -1F is forecast low Thurs morning…ahhhh!
Yet another big rain event for me. 3.61" since mid-morning here.

8" of snow last night, so snowed in until the grader comes by. At least it provided some nice fluffy stuff to comfortably top up the haskap and sour cherry snow banks for protection.
A couple more inches of snow tonight, and then temps dropping back to -25 to 30C tomorrow night. Canadian prairies in all of their glory. At least it isn’t -40 yet.
0 with a windchill of -20
Cold front blowing in now, following negligible snow.
We’ve been able to stay in the teens all day, but that cold isn’t far away and should be moving in any time. Snow squalls right now.
40 and rain. supposed to get 2in. tonight. flood watches out. high wind warning for gusts to 50mph. then turning cold midday tom. man, i hate these warm fronts in beg. of winter. so much for the 18in. of snow.
Wife was in St. Paul today. Said it was 10-12. Always warmer in and near the Cities.
Windchill supposed to push -30 tomorrow. Yippee…
I love to go north during the summertime but not now. We all have our crosses the bear. I am still waiting on my grass to quit growing and my leaves to drop off my trees. Still waiting on the first freeze maybe January ,
Cold, but lovely winter is one of my favourite seasons. Spent a morning moving snow into my greenhouse for winter insulation. My seedless table grapes need to be covered but once they are even zone 4 grapes do well in my zone 2.
71 as a high yesterday to wake up to 37*. Finally got a good slow rain yesterday of about 1” though so I’ll take that. Looks to be getting back to normal winter temps for December highs in the 60s lows in the mid 40s for the foreseeable forecast.
Same here. High of 78 into a low of 41. All our rain came down in a 1 hour span though, about an inch as well. Todays the only day our high stays below 70 though. Back into the 80s by Sunday. This front weakened compared to what the forecast was saying Sunday/Monday.
Coldest morning of the fall so far. -15
got 1.73’’ of rain last night. powers out in several local towns. wind kicked up like a freight train coming through at 4am. got up to let the dogs out. it was raining hard but flat calm. then i heard the wind come on. i opened the door and the dogs came flying in, soaked to the bone. had to dry them off. rains done. the suns out but still windy.
We got 2.3" of rain the past couple days and there’s standing water in the orchard. Lost a lot of snow, and now the temps are dropping, the driveway is a sheet of ice with a fresh 4" of snow on top.
3 degrees this morning, coldest morning so far. Couple feet of snow on the ground. Under all the snow the ground is not frozen. Got up close to freezing a couple days ago. I was able to plant some virginia blue bell crowns, tulip bulbs, and anemone corms. Still have some daffodil bulbs to get in when we get above freezing, as well as 50 beech seedlings. I may have to hold the trees till spring.
^^^You folks well east of me sure got/get the snow and rain.
The ground here isn’t close to being covered with snow. I’m guessing the frost is already close to a foot deep.
Just a light dusting of snow on the ground here. -3F is what the car showed//airport showed -6F. Coldest spot in Minnesota appears to be -27F up by the border.
Sat morning could be freezing rain/sleet/snow/rain. Monday looks like rain. Could be a mess with how frozen the ground is.
stores here are like a zoo this morning. everything south of us has lost power and most of s. Aroostook county is still out. some towns might be out 4-5 days. major runs on generators and food because nothing is working down there so they are coming here. temps bombing out back into single digits tonight. there’s going to be alot of very busy plumbers with all the pipes that will freeze. not good! luckily our elec. comes from Canada north of us , so we werent affected.
