We finally got a little bit of rain. We got a slight drizzle for about a half hour. little more than settled the dust, but it was wonderful!
Everything here in bloom or close to it. Lookslike a good year for a change
it’s been 60s/70s days and high 40s-50s at night until tonight- been hardening off the figs and got lazy enough to leave them out- hope tonight doesn’t hurt them. they’re closer to the house so may stay just warm enough
will be bringing them in tomorrow before work to the greenhouse.
“tomorrow” for me is “today” on the chart, it’s currently 47 out there supposed to get down to 45
it’s just after midnight Saturday night
got a wind advisory out for gusts to 50mph.
Looks like we are not going to get any more frosts untill this fall according to hedge leaves, which is if they are bigger than a squirrels ear. It’s been correct as far as I can remember even when we had a freeze on May 18th.
Too close to overhead wires!
The one pine tree had stuff laying on it. I think the power company trimmed stuff one time a long time ago. The neighbor whose yard that is didn’t have power for 3 days cuz of the wires having tree on them. Surprised didn’t start a fire.
Music to my ears
I want to see a picture of how you measure squirrels ear. ![]()
I guess I just make sure it’s definitely larger than it😁.
all things are out; under agribon at night still since it’s under 50F. peppers and tropicals still in the greenhouse but the rest are hardening off in the day slowly and getting covered at night. I do not think there will be another frost but I’ve been wrong before.
Ticks are out thick. My wife had one embedded in her back.
Nice weekend finally. Mid 60Fs and sunshine. Seckel pear is loaded with blooms and just opening flowers. Sour cherries have a bunch of blooms.
Severe weather tomorrow somewhere up here. hail, wind, tnads…all kinds of fun stuff.
got 1.5 in. of rain so far this weekend. grass is starting to green. currants and honeyberries are leafing out.
A high of 3C today, with a low of -6C for tonight.
My poor crocus will probably be done for. I’m going to make an effort to cover my gooseberries and currants that I just planted, as they were beginning to leaf out upon arrival.
My tart cherries from UofSask are also looking to open up, so I’ll throw some old sheets that I use for tomatoes over the lot.
The elderberry and saskatoon are on their own.
The haskap are wise, and look to be a week or so from opening up.
We have the seemingly neverending wind. The temperatures are pleasant and the views are amazing.
cool pic!
