I totally understand,
However, in this part of the
high desert our average rainfall is about 18 " and has been for over a hundred years. 3 years ago we got over 20 in. However for the last 15-ish years we’ve been in a pretty bad drought most of the time. With only seven and a half inches last year unless an inch so far this year it is unseasonably and then commonly dry for this area.

I’ve had a couple of years here with less than 5 and we average 15. In 2011 it honestly did not rain one drop June through August. But that year there was a reporting station near Austin that was 0.00 for the year. And they average 30 inches.

The whole southwestern US is in a long term drought. If one has ground water count your blessings. And you apparently do.

Yeah. I forget where I ordered it, though. It looks like all my usual suppliers are out of stock. The stuff that is available is in larger quantities and expensive. Best to order between Thanksgiving and New Year’s.

Day two of no power with an estimated recovery after this heat wave. Thank goodness we have a generator capable of running the ac units in addition to the other stuff. Can’t imagine dealing with the 2 freezers without the generator.

We were in Black River Falls yesterday and i think i saw 98F at one point. I think LSE hit 97F.

Storms right now. Pouring out. bye bye heatwave.

I noticed yesterday afternoon that Duluth was in the 50Fs all day. We almost went there this weekend. Would have needed a jacket!

supposed to hit upper 90’s in the mountains of western Maine. tom.

Given this setup, localized 5"+ amounts are possible and perhaps likely, though the exact corridors are challenging to narrow down a few days out given run to run shifts in the position of the boundary, along with possible training convection. With all of this in mind, we feel confident saying that southern MN is currently more greatly favored for the heaviest rainfall than central MN and that several (3"+) inches of rain are possible between Tuesday night to Thursday night for a large portion of the area.

Mississippi River won’t run dry anytime soon. I can see us hitting flood stage here easily if these numbers pan out. Another summer of high water? Last summer boating wasn’t possible until late July.

We have been cloudy most of the day. A couple times we got 10 or 20 raindrops on the windshield. However, this is very promising and we are looking forward to some rainfall this week.

One of the best sights this year!

We didn’t get a lot yet but about a 0.10"

Over an inch predicted, but it fizzled away

Just got done pouring here. The city had streets flooding yesterday. Saying 3 to 4 inches locally with pockets of 4+. Hopefully a long dry period after this.

Getting a nice rain today. About .5" so far. My pumpkins and foodplots should be happy.

Temps in the 50Fs around Mille Lacs right now while Preston, MN in the south has a 77F dew point. Can really see where the warm front is located. Lots of rain fell over MN/WI this afternoon.

Even a couple of 80F+ dew points in N Iowa. I would imagine not so common in June.

The warm front is sitting right over this area still. We ended up with about 1.5" yesterday but it varied…with some getting 3+ inches. A tornado just south of town but it wasn’t very strong. More heavy rain today and rain again Sunday. Tomorrow looks like a nice dry one. Weekend looks hot and humid.

We only got 0.13", but we’ll take it. Finished last month with just over an inch.

Brutal. I as in the south of France July 11 years ago, and I don’t think it went above 90? I didn’t know that region went into the 100’s.
