How is your weather? (Part 2)

Very chilly now. 50’s at night brrrr

Just over 1/2 inch of rain. Mid 50Fs and clouds now. Much different than 24 hours ago. Fall weather this week.

Got over 3 inches of rain today. Really glad they totally botched the forecast again they predicted spotty showers and less than a half inch Then we woke up this morning to not only rain but a flash flood warning.
I really love the raindrop.farm app .
My orchard is about 90 miles away from where I live and you really can’t tell on radar the exact area that gets rain. I have checked it against an actual rain gauge and it’s accurate.

Rain at last! 1 1/2" It’ll have to last, there won’t be more, it seems.

4 inches of rain today. Seems like most of it ended up in my basement!

Supposed to be 29 tonight. 32 tomorrow night. Despite a light frost in August, the plants in the garden were still going. This should begin the great shutdown.

Upper 20s here tonight too. Wife just picked maybe 10 gallons of tomatoes, about the same amount of green peppers, and maybe 2 gallons of Ghost and Reaper peppers. All in the garage now. It’s been one heck of a productive late summer/early fall here. I’m ready for canning season to be done.

Areas outside the Duluth area look to be the coldest. Minong, WI was 19F and quite a few sensors in MN were around that 20F to 22F.

36F here. I see frost on the roof.

We only got down to 31 for a little bit. Supposed to be about the same tonight. Not enough to shut everything down, just burn the tops of tomatoes, and kill the eggplant and squash. After tonight looks like we have at least a week stretch or more of a fairly nice weather, without frost.

had two frost nights already but only a brief moment at 35F, the other right at 38. but soon it’ll be killing frost. my squash and tomatoes and melons all died back but my peppers are still going strong, oddly enough.

a few trees are coloring up in the leaves, too. we’ve had one rain this month, so it’s good to see some coming along.

39F. Frost on the roof. A little SE wind all night stopped things from dropping too much.

Interesting weather out west with Arizona getting a lot of moisture from a dying Pacific --hurricane. Phoenix has rain in the forecast everyday thru the weekend. Rare time of the year for a lot of rain.

let my hazels hang until today. they we easy to pull of the branch and completely dried out. so much easier than trying to pick and dry them in early sept like i usually do. had to pick some off the ground but thats ok. i roasted some in the oven for the 1st time. what a taste difference. wish i had tried it earlier. left behind a nice nutty smell.

Chicago/Milwaukee–any spot downwind or near lake Michigan gets that trillion gallon heater to keep you warmer on cold nights. Buoy at the south end of Lake Michigan still showing a water temp of 67F.

Nice day here. 70F and nice breeze. Days are getting so short. I think it was 6;30 last night and it was getting dark or dark already.

Still don’t see a hard freeze/snow this month on the models.
