How is your weather? (Part 2)

It’s been so windy it varies from 1-2 foot, deeper along the driveways where we’ve blown out the snow. It’s settled alot, with lots of fresh fluffy deposits. Warm weather this week will be interesting.

I have been curious what you have for the travel trailer, glad you mentioned it. I have pretty much settled on that 30-35 ft range. We’re holding up health wise but tired of moving snow. Other than that we tend to be too sedentary in winter, would like to be more active.

we had a 17’ 25ft. passport . it was a good rig but kind of tight and we plan on bringing our granddaughter with us so 1 day last summer, while we were camping along the coast , we went by a r.v dealership. wife wanted just to stop in and take a look. we fell in love with this one as soon as we saw it. we did the loan while camping and traded off with the new one as we headed home. it has a slide out that we are going to remove the seats and put in 2 recliners this summer. that makes a huge difference in space. we’ve looked at alot of them and this ones very well designed. i could easily live out of this for 5-6 months if need be. now i need to upgrade my truck to a 3/4 ton. the 5.7 v8 has plenty of power but shes just over the towing limit. note. buy the camper then the truck. not the other way around. we are the same in the winter. they have got way too long for us.

Very cold 30’s at night. This happens very infrequently. Only high 40’s during the day.

That’s us - large driveway, no sidewalks.

I noticed a station in western Kansas was 80F this afternoon. Denver is 70F. Rapid City, SD was 66F. Crazy how persistent the heat has been in the plains so far this winter.

Upper 30Fs more clouds. Sloppy. Yes–i saw a dude on a motorized scooter today. The streets clear out better and the Harleys will start coming out.

Please send more sun.

it has mostly been 40-50 days with a few freezing days exception up until now. we are now around 40F days, some frost at nights and a few deep freeze nights at random.

sprouts are coming up and getting frozen. almost no snow.

this coming week some freezing nights to kill all the things that have been growing in this wet warmth. not good. we need the cold to sustain itself and the snow, badly. makes me concerned what summer will be this year here.

Pretty nice day about 69° for the high. Sunshine and a light breeze. We have really enjoyed the low humidity. Something we never have that’s changing tomorrow.
It is really been dry most of December . Just saw a report that January through December 2025 was our driest year in 130 years.

Too dry, too warm. Some of the Red Maples are blooming along the warm roads. The normally bloom the first week of March or early Feb if it’s a mild Winter. The rivers are at late Summer flows. I may just break out the flyrod and catch some bass or brown trout.

i94 between Tomah, WI and Minneapolis looks like it might turn into an ice skating rink overnite. That stretch can be crazy busy and notorious for pileups.

We haven’t had much cold yet. I think we slightly dipped below freezing 4 nights so far. Supposed to freeze again Thursday through Sunday, and likely hit 26.

One year ago today, the Eaton and Palisades fires started in Los Angeles. Rainfall patterns this year couldn’t be any more different than last year. Most areas around Los Angeles have surpassed their annual rainfall total already.

Arizona has some gorgeous winter weather. Anything in the 60Fs and 70Fs is about perfect in my book. Rain today in Phoenix. That should help green things up.

40F here and sunshine. If winter was like this it would be a walk in the park. Gorgeous day.

Potholes are beyond bad already. Roads are falling apart.

Yep, this was the warmest December I’ve ever seen in the inland northwest I think. December last year was almost as warm. Feels like winter is starting a month late for the past few years.

Long term forecast shows a massive high pressure ridge settling in, the kind that likes to stick around. Starting to wonder if we will see any real winter weather this year.

Western montana just logged warmest December ever. Hope my trees don’t bloom in February

Here down south, I’ve got Nectarine trees already blooming.

December here was cold. Got down to below 0F. It’s January that’s turned mild. Like this last year, too.

Wow. You’ll have ripe fruit in April?

That system that moved thru Arizona is on its way to the midwest. We might get an inch or more of rain tonite/tomorrow. Snow on Sat (blah).

They’ll probably get frozen out later on.
