Amazing.

I have been looking for yellow or yellow-mixed irises (Bearded Iris) for a while. So far, I have not found it yet.

My only Vincent iris! My ex stole the rest of the seeds or I’d have more!

Hopefully you will find some yellow mixed in the seeds sent to you 2nd time. Be patient and keep waiting.

Somehow I never thought about posting shots of the irises I bought 18(?) years ago. Somehow I got a catalog of fragrant irises & these were touted as “reblooming” in most cases. I have never cared for them so well they have done it, but they have lived despite my neglect. Another, two-tone gold flag has yet to begin blooming.

And the last of my little collection, just opening today:

The fragrance is glorious.

Iris versicolor (native). Blooms were late this year, profuse and lasted a long time, only just ending now. I think due to all the rain.

That’s a stunning color.

I think it might be worthwhile to move this one to where it gets afternoon shade, since each bloom lasts only a day when the thermometer reads 90+. The others last two days in the 70 - 85F range.

Those are absolutely stunning, @Vincent_8B ! I’ve never seen such jaw-dropping flowers before!

For bearded iris be vigilant. I had dozens of different cultivars and had an infestation of iris borer that took them all out

Pics from last year. They always open 7/4 +/- a couple days

I don’t have pics of them lying around but also the Louisiana flag and Siberian are beautiful. I bought the Japanese irises from Andra gardens in mi

Where are you located? Mentioning borers gets my radar up. Any borers are serious pests.

I’m in ne Ohio. Yeah they wiped out all the "fancy " ones. Don’t touch the harder “standard” purple ones. Was sad.

Blessed with a meadow of native iris here on the farm

Sorry for the loss. Several years ago we had an infestation of Lily Leaf beetles aka scarlet lily beetles that wiped out lilies in the northeast. Those beetles, too, went after fancier lilies and left day ditch lilies alone.

Hope OH iris borers never make it here.
