Anyone growing Monty Surprise? What is the verdict.

My Monty’s Surprise apple tree is still small and not much growth. I am hopeful it will grow more next spring,. We have had a horrible drought this summer, more than 25 days ( so far) without any trace of rain… I am just glad it is still green and has leaves. From everything I have read it is an amazing apple. Hopefully I will know in a few years. It is just like it is stunted and no growth. Maybe I need to plant another one in a different location to see how that one does.
