They grow very well here for several years and give fruits every year
I sprouted a bunch of those seeds last year but they all died within a few weeks from apparent fungal issues (damping off), so I decided they aren’t for me. I’ve heard the fruit are best used more like a vegetable, or in sweetened preserves, since they aren’t as sweet as the carica papayas.
I’m planing to juice it…
That sounds like a winner to me!
Yes it is! I love the flavor! And is free flowering like lemons… very pretty too…
Hello, Luis.
It’s Dave from the High Desert in California.
When I figure out how to post it, I have a dwarf nectarine tree and a plum tree with an apricot branch grafted on.
Hope all is well with you.
Hello David how are you?
And you have more fruit trees?
No, just a Chinese pistacchio tree but it’s not producing nuts yet. Might only be four years old or so.
Haven’t seen you around the other place. Hope all has been well with you.
I posted a thread about my problem child: the dwarf nectarine tree.

I’m just focussing on this forum… the other is more messy and i have more tempered varieties than tropicals…
Luis I bought a pink flesh lemon with varigated leaves. The lemons will be large and striped.
That’s great! I want to get one too…
