My small fruit tree orchard

Hello my friend! Of course I will do it. Infortunately I don’t have much space for more mango trees. And that’s great to have this two!
Regarding this small fruits I doubt they get mature.

Yes. That’s it. There are several rivers in our area that pass in the midle of the vilages and the old house walls goes right over the river beds. And i’m very surprized to see some banana trees growing on the rocks of this river bed! Crazy!

This is a very hardy area more than mine… it’s so incredible to have a musa colony self stablished in a portuguese river! I’m stoned! No one planted them! Of course they excaped some garden, some one trow them away and water river transport them to this location. This is really incredible… i have to talk with local authorities to protect them!

Are any of those megalanthus or are they all undatus and/or costaricensis? I’ve only tasted a few undatus varieties so far but I haven’t found any that I like as much as the megalanthus I got from Miami Fruit, which I have 6 seedlings that I’m growing out. I’ve never tried costaricensis though.

No none are megalanthus. Here this one is more common and i can get it if i want…
This varieties i have are more rare and have very good fruit… big and sweet! :yum:

I don’t know when or if i will have fruit, but i will try…

I haven’t tasted any undatus yet that was even close to as sweet or fragrant as megalanthus but I’m jealous you can get it there more easily! I haven’t found it anywhere here, and Miami Fruit is way too expensive for buying regularly. In 5 years I’ll have some hopefully! :joy:

Yeah, it wasn’t in stock the last time I looked, and was $$$ so I just planted seeds instead. They will make fruit eventually!

They usually cost between $10 and $20. Those more rare are like $25.

I’m sure I’ll look around again at some point if I get impatient with my seedlings. I look forward to seeing how yours do though!
