That magnificent lady got my vote! I’ve a soft spot for cork trees. I’ve never actually seen one in person—but pictures or mentions of them always evoke happy childhood memories of listening to my mom read the story of Ferdinand the bull.

Cork oaks can be planted in zone 8 in the United States…if a Live Oak or a Eucalyptus does OK, you can probably have a cork oak if you desire one…
including Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Montgomery, AL or Dallas, TX or Portland OR.

This very rare apple trees i buy from UK. They are very small grafted trees, so it will take a lot to see it fruiting… some day!
