Do you do neem instead of horticultural oil or in addition to it?
Instead, but I am not sure if what I am doing is correct. I wait until it gets warmer and spray mostly for aphids’ eggs, that are about to hatch.
I never got around to buy neem oil until last week but it’s only aready to use bottle for my indoor plants. The oil I mixed in today should do the job smothering those eggs.
@Susu, To me, low impact spray requires more sprays. Last year we had very wet summer to fall. I lost counts on my Surround spray.
@Levers101 Do you happen to know the half-life of spinetoram? I spray regular spinosad every 9-10 days and was considering moving to spinetoram for a longer spray residual, but it’s really expensive and doesn’t say how to mix in gallons so not sure how long 26 ounces for $250 will last.
I don’t know what the half life of spinetoram just that the marketing materials say it is longer lived than spinosad. I couldn’t track it down quickly.
I have not gone the route of highly concentrated farm-scale chemicals except for fungicides (Eagle 20EW for scab/CAR) and NuFilm 17.
I’ve not heard of spinatoram before. Is it an organic insecticide similar to Spinosad, but just longer lasting?
