Indar works great on our Peaches too!
Nothing else is close for brown rot in our hot humid climate.
Also we do not spray sulfur after the weather gets hot.
We normally spray twice a month but may stretch to 3 weeks during a drought

I think I will probably be getting on the Indar train too.
Do you rotate with something that isn’t class 3 and/or do you mix with something else? I noticed a lot of the labels say not to apply more than 2x before switching but Indar does not. Just says,
“Indar 2F belongs to the sterol demethylation inhibitor (DMI) class of
fungicides or target site of action Group 3 fungicide. Since certain fungi
can develop resistance to this class of products, use Indar 2F as part of a
resistance management strategy that includes alternation and/or mixing
with fungicides of different target site of action.”
I understand that resistance to DMI fungicides can be a problem but I don’t see anything on the label for Peaches that limits the application to 2 before rotation to another class of fungicides
Here are the restrictions on the label that I have:
• Do not make more than
8 applications or apply more than a
total of 48 fl oz of Indar 2F (0.75 lb
active) per acre per season.
• Preharvest Interval: Up to day of
harvest.
• Do not graze livestock in treated
areas or feed cover crops grown in
treated areas to livestock.
• Do not apply this product by
chemigation to stone fruits.

Thanks for this.

Another vote for Indar. Propiconazole and Elevate are other good options. I don’t use Captan or Chlorothalonil given their relative lack of effectiveness (for the latter it is also how early you have to stop it). I used to use a lot of sulphur and copper, but they are also very weak. Copper still is useful as for some things (e.g. bacterial spot) it might be the only option.
Sorry If I was unclear - It is a recommendation by VA extension (in general for group 3) and not something on the label for Indar. If you are able to get good control of rot with just Indar- that would be nice and make me pretty happy as it would be easier than my current situation.
Our extension folks have concerns about resistance from overuse of DMI fungicides too, especially on Apples.
We use other fungicides early in the season and save Indar for late season. We especially like the fact that Indar does not leave a white film on the Peaches like Captan does. Sometimes we include Merivon or Pristine in the preharvest rotation to get away from the group 3 fungicides , but they are much more expensive.
Looks as though Indar 2F covers both scab and brown rot.
I need to find time to research and revise my spray schedule to include both Bordeaux and Indar 2F.
BTW… dispite the peach scab, the few peaches we did get from our young trees were delicious
Thanks Everyone
