Don’t jinx it 
. I’ve had serious thrip damage on my nectarines, not much on roses. Maybe, my full-sized nectarine tree is the trap tree.

I’ve tried three times to acquire a rose (I just got my last one on sale a month ago). Its been a process, but I hope once it blooms it ends up being the right one.
The last one I received (a replacement after the one I had previously gotten had arrived almost dead in late November in Michigan) ended up being a Ketchup and Mustard rose. It is absolutely not have I wanted, but it is also the healthiest and most vigorous rose I’ve ever grown. It is crowded heavily by raspberries and is covered in blooms without even a speck of blackspot or any kind of disease. It is a shame I find it to be pretty ugly.

Ha, I had an ‘Oranges and Lemons’ rose in my front yard about 1995 that was so healthy and a show-stopper that someone dug it up and stole it midday!

Your rose looks like it could be Abracadabra, I have one and the blooms are identical.

I sprayed for Japanese beetles this year, but nothing else. Seems to be fairly disease resistant and survived -14, -13, and -12 nights this last Winter with no dieback.

I ordered the Poet’s Wife from David Austin. It arrived as a small plant in a 4” pot. I up-potted it and give it Rose Tone (by Espoma). It has thrived and flowered. It has nice fragrance. Thank you for the suggestion. Will get Olivia next year.

if anyones growing graham thomas id love to buy a cutting. its out of patent and everyone stopped carrying it:( also called Ausmas. or they sell it for ridiculous prices for an unpatented band sized rose
