Shipping nightmare

heads up - shipping delays continue. at least, with UPS.
I tried changing shipment-date just before storm (Jan 26) but no luck. shipments sent from FL and CA on the week of Jan 26  mon & wed.
the FL order is Persimmon trees – 1 of 3 boxes is still MIA; yesterday, UPS warehouse personnel said by phone, “i think things will clear up by this time next week … [and i don’t know where the box is].”
the CA order sent Jan 28 arrived yesterday, 2/10. small box. also UPS.
UPS has not updated tracking info since 2/6. personally, i’m amazed at how the storm becomes a reason for logistical collapse (eg, a box picked-up by UPS on Jan 26 should have a whereabouts).

I just went through a little of that, flying on American Airlines in late January, from the West to East coast.Flight delays, because not enough personnel.

That something I didn’t consider, not just that planes weren’t taking off and landing, because of snow and ice,but some or many workers were finding it hard, getting to their jobs.AA stated,it was the most difficult time,in the company’s history.

I hope your order arrives intact and the plants are healthy.

I am still not getting regular mail delivery (2 weeks and 2 days after storm), though it has been improving and I’ve gotten some packages.

Ice is still in huge piles everywhere and that stuff takes a while to melt. It keeps melting and refreezing making for some very treacherous walking… I am hoping by the end of the week things are a bit better.
