Lol. Is that scion wood? Heck yeah!

At the risk of incrimentating myself, this is my garage mini fridge.

That’s all I see is good food. You need glasses!

That’s a lot of scion wood. How many trees are you grafting?

I have 400 bench grafts to do. I already did forty grafts in my greenhouse the last couple days. Then I’ll be field grafting. I usually do anywhere from 500-600 grafts every year.

Heya @speedster1

I don’t recognize that beer… what is it and where is it brewed?

Everyone else . . . I’m waiting_!_ Hope to see your fridges soon
Even if beer only!

Dax

Yuengling Lager. America’s oldest brewery in Pottstown, PA.

Ok from top far left, whole kernel corn for the adult goldfish. Boiled egg for the goldfish fry, pepper and tomato seeds, top right is a stack of scion wood with some peach seeds wrapped in damp paper towel. Lower right is peach seeds still in the pit, middle is horseradish roots, lower left is water. Of course my wife’s fridge looks a little different,

Here’s a pic of my scionwood fridge. Or “the 2nd fridge” as my wife would describe it, when asking why there are so many bags of sticks in it…

The white garbage bags are filled with zip lock bags.

The big scion at the top is actually a small tree. It is from an interstem apple which never put on much size. And the rootstock union area is starting to look pretty ugly. So I cut the whole tree off after 4 years and am planning to graft it onto a decent sized branch on an existing tree. I put some parafilm on it, but I’m thinking I should put it in its own garbage bag.

Haha, great thread! I have to show it to my husband so he’ll know I’m not the only loony with “twigs” in the fridge. I’m only using one of two crisper drawers, so he’s comparatively lucky!

If much more are acquired, some may have to be sneaked (or snuck) into the break room’s refrigerator at work.
I really need to make sure there are none left from 2015 or ? Brady

Man I’m amazed that you all do that much grafting. I thought I grafted a lot but all my scions can fit in a single crisper drawer. I typically only keep 2-3 sticks of each variety.

Well done, guys. @Bradybb really nice work there!

Thanks to all.

Which one? The one I store my every day frozen veggies in the kitchen, or the one that I have my preserves stored in spare room, or may be our freezer that is still more then half full of frozen veggies supply?

Haha, this year I thought of myself as scionwood hoarder but Brady has beat me to it. I will do over 100 benchgrafts and will graft a lot into existing trees…I give all the excess scionwood to my friends.
Very good thread

I have more seeds than scions but will be doing lots of grafting this year.

Wow,. You will be busy planning and grafting the next few months.

Actually it’s Pottsville, about an hour to an hour and a half north of Pottstown. Though neither has much of interest, except my brother lives in Pottstown.

Sorry, I live in this area:)
