Hello. I have read alot but sill not sure on my spraying. Planned to use Horticulture oil right at silvertip. (have applied once already) Then a week later Horticulture oil combined with immunox every week until just before petal open. (I bought Bonide copper but not sure if it is safe with the H oil. I have several beehives so will wait until the bees no longer come to the apple trees. Then spray Imodan and Captan every 2 weeks until 30 days before fruit maturity. I have 2 plum, 2 peach, 25 apple trees, and 15 coming tomorrow from Trees of Antiquity tomorrow. Any input/suggestions would be appreciated.
I will defer to Alan’s and other experts here, but I probably wouldn’t waste the oil unless you have a problem with mites or scale. I only spray immunox once before bloom.
Also, I don’t spray non-bearing trees.
Personally I have given up on Imidan because it’s getting harder to find, it’s hard to handle, and probably dangerous to handle because it’s so fine. It also smells bad.
I now use Avaunt and Assail. Both are granulated so much easier to handle.
Have you read Alan’s spray schedule in the guides?

Welcome to the site BDrake. Lots of wonderful people here with great advice.
Yes, but Iam one of those with a little comprehension disability!!!I bought the Imadan about 3 years ago and still have some left. will switch over once finished. I use respirator and the works but can see particles flying around.Being worried about the new bees, I have not sprayed in 3 years… Since then I barly get any apples. So you only do the one spray of Immunox prebloom and nothing else till after?

All so true. Nasty nasty stuff.
Yes,
I spay immunox only once before bloom. I do not spray oil
You are not that far from me. I’m near Ann Arbor, MI
Also all the trees bloom and produce fruit, at first. When the apple gets about dime size the stems turn a dull brown and the fruit dies. Some trees lose all fruit. Any idea what might be happening?
I have “fruit tree spray” from the local feed store. should I spray this week you think? it’s been freezing temp at night off and on, budd just showing on plums, apples all asleep.
I’m south central Indian. Our spray material is triazicide and captan. We start at petal fall, then at shuck. Every ten to 14 days depending on rain through the season. This is a difficult point. If I get a 1 inch rain, I consider I have zero protection.
But to date, cross my fingers, our only issue is Oriental Fruit Moths. The triazicide has worked perfectly with nearly no bugs.
Bees are pretty smart. Even though there are 5% of the flowers still on the tree, they look forlorn. The bees don’t visit at this point. I walk by my trees and I will see a few bees but they just don’t land.
