Stan, I’ve noticed you have a fine selection of gage plums, what do you feel has contributed to your success with them over the years?

It’s all about the climate in my area. Very long, very hot, very dry summers, but enough chill hours during winters. Provided sufficient irrigation, these conditions are very good for many species of stone fruit, including gage plums.

Is it true that the flowers, leafs of this variety are more more pinkish?

Yes, Redsweet flowers are a bit pinkish, here are some photos taken today. I don’t remember leafs being pinkish, I’ll check it up in a few weeks.

That looks interesting and beautiful! I always associate apricots to white flowers, so that is a nice change

Hi Stan, do you think having multiple varieties of green gage help the crop? Bavay’s is said to be self fertile. I wonder having another variety is necessary for Bavay’s to fruit. My garden space is limited. Thanks!
