I was just discussing this with someone I’m sure it’s really weird for you guys . however about once a decade for Christmas we are mid 70s or above. Should be mid 60s. I can remember washing my new used car Christmas Day 50 years ago when I started college,

We hit 75 here (southern middle TN) today… and have a few more similar days comming.

My lettuce bed is enjoying this.

Looks like more normal temps are coming back soon enough.

Wild serviceberry and redbuds are normally first of the wild trees to bloom… none of that happening.

Nothing in my orchard blooming either.

My Orient pear normally blooms quite early… but is not now.

We are having 4 days in the 70s/50s… then it is getting back to normal.

We were in KS for Christmas a few years ago and were excited for our kids to hopefully see real snow for the first time. For the first week we were there it was 70 degrees everyday… Luckily we were there for two weeks and about 7 days in a cold front finally came through and dumped 6 inches of snow on us! :slight_smile:

Just in case this saves anyone a click, since it’s not immediately obvious - this is a contrail conspiracy theory video.

It was still above 50 here at sundown and was over 60 degrees here today. This is very definitely not January weather. Usually the second half of January is the coldest and the first half of February is the messiest.

Nothing “theory” about it. The first document is called “Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025” and comes from the U.S. Airforce military’s own site.

And as for the video, the people interviewed are high ranking members of the military as well as scientists explaining the science behind it.

There was a time when people thought communicating via wireless transmission was “magic” but we now know that it is fact that obeys physical scientific principles and laws.

This is a published scientific document from the Journal of Applied Meteorology
https://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/documents/artificial-snow-creation-method.pdf

Here is the congressional record hearings from 1974 on Weather Modification (the technology is old but people choose to remain ignorant).

I get that people prefer willful ignorance, but to call something “theory” when it is obviously factual is disingenuous.

@kelbot

Yes , Kansas was 68 degrees today and this was Kansas January 6th last year. As @KS_razerback said we had a few cold days but its mostly a florida winter in Kansas this year.
