What do you guys think?
My friend said it’s about 3 to 4 years old and has never fruited but she only has one cherry tree and I wasn’t sure if another variety should be grafted or if it’s self fertile or if it’s not even a sweet cherry……
Her husband got it from a big box store and has forgotten the variety.
Looks like a sweet cherry. Most are self fertile but the old school ones need another tree. It’s not uncommon to drop all flowers when young.
Tart cherries have small leaves. Sweet cherries have large ones that have a different shape. Once the tree has leafed out it will be easy to tell.
