Sweet Sensation pear

I’m reading “Book of Pears” and noted a variant of Comice marketed as Sweet Sensation which is a more productive blush red pear. Does anyone have this pear growing?

it appears to be another red sport of Comice - and it looks like a club pear

I had one of the red Sweet Sensation trees and it was killed by FB.

I would not expect it to be any less fireblight sensitive than Comice.

I suspect MikeC had Red Sensation which is a red variant of Bartlett. It was sold by several nurseries for a few years. Stark had it. Red Sensation Pear Tree - Stark Bro’s

Sweet Sensation is a red blushed variant of Comice. Rode Doyenné van Doorn is the name it is listed by and the fruit are sold as Sweet Sensation. It originated in the Netherlands in 1992 and was commercialized in 2010.
