'Swiss Limbertwig' Apple

A small Swiss Limbertwig came off a B9 tree easily this morning. First one I have tasted. Delicious, more sweet than tart. Have two more hanging tight on this tree.

Neat! Mine are still hanging here in 7B.

Great! My one Swiss LT succumbed to rot because I didn’t keep up the spray regimen. It didn’t even finish turning red. But next year…

@greyphase Hey there - im wondering if you have Caney Fork Limbertwig as well? If so, which is better in your opinion between Swiss and CF? Which is more disease resistant?

Yes I have Caney Fork limbertwig. Both have been free of disease and both a good tasting right off the tree.

@greyphase Hey Rick, how did those Swiss Ltwigs do this year? I’m still deciding between those and Guyandotte pippin to plant

Very cool!

We have a young Myer’s Royal, i hope we love it too, when we are lucky enough to get fruit.

It was an off year for most of my apples after a great harvest last fall. Health issues kept me out of my orchards with the wife picking a few for me. The Swiss Limbertwig edges out the Guy but that’s just my opinion.
