To recap, it looks as if my Taishu is genuine. The fact that my Taishu bears hermaphroditic fruit is not only NOT proof of any fraud, it seems to be proof that this variety is authentic. Taishu is widely reported by Japanese scientists to bear hermaphroditic flowers and fruit. Nurseries and hobbyists in Japan and China provide similar reports. And Taishu appears to be the only PCNA variety to display this trait.
