The best Asian Pears

Raja is great! One of the best Asian pears in my opinion, and a fast grower! We’ve got fruit 3 years after planting and they were not big trees when I planted them!

Anyone grown, or tasted, Raja Asian pear?

I’ve got two Raja Asian pears, I think on betulafolia, and no issues with fireblight, neither does the Olympic/Korean Giant on betulafolia, but the Korean Giant on Toringo Apple and on Clapp’s Best both seem to have some fireblight issues, so maybe it’s the betulafolia Rootstocks not Raja that’s resistant. I ate two of them, delicious! They’re definitely competitors for my favorite Asian pears, sweet, very juicy, crunchy, I didn’t notice any bitterness even at the core, the flavor at the surfac…
