Tri-Lite Peach-Plum

That is good to know. I almost didn’t spray Spice Zee but did anyways because i had the spray out. I’ll update again on fruit set on the Tri Lite. Everything is in bloom here (even the apples/pears) so cross pollination hopefully happens.

What is everyone using for a pollinator for your Tri-Lite’s?

I’ve been curious about this one, too. Very little is written about it, and a Google search brought me a blog about a guy in Sacramento who says it tastes nothing like a plum and more like a white peach…but a very delicious one. The information I’ve seen about it suggests it’s more of a canning peach. I’d like to plant one, since peaches are tough where I am, but I’m hoping a cross with a plum makes it easier.

This tree was not available in many nurseries, according to DWN, and I’m curious why that is. It’s essentially a low chill peach and it should be perfect for my area (Oakland, CA)…I’d love to know how it tastes.

Mine is one foot apart from my Spice Zee Nectaplum.

It’s 1\4 plum, that’s probably why it doesn’t taste like a plum?

That makes sense, of course, but I’m hoping that the plum-ness of it makes it easier to grow where I am.

What fruit hanging down on the other side?

The yellow ones? They are peachplums.

Oh, I see them now. They are Sweet Treat Pluerries.

At this stage of ripeness, it tasted more like a peach.

I still have two more to taste.
