Triumph new Honeycrisp cross- disease resistant

I bought a half peck of the Kudos apple. The large size of the fruit surprised me. I think I only got 9 apples in the bag…they were that big! I ate the last Kudos apple from that bag about a week ago. I compared it to a store bought Honeycrisp apple from Walmart. I realize a better comparison would be comparing apples from the same orchard. So for what it’s worth, I thought Kudos had a more complex flavor than Honeycrisp(a more sprightly flavor, while Honeycrisp seemed more aromatic). The texture of Kudos seemed a little more dense, while Honeycrisp seemed slightly more juicy. If you like the Honeycrisp texture, I think you’ll like the texture of Kudos as well.

Thanks for your report on Kudos. Hopefully I’ll get a few apples next year, it’s always exciting to try a new variety.

Mine were a bit more towards yellow flesh. Wondering why did I only buy one?!?!

Isn’t Evercrisp the only one (people outside of Washington can’t get Cosmic Crisp, I think?) that backyard people can grow?

Need to get the pricy subscription, but yes, evercrisp is one.
