I’m here to show off my quince harvest, from SE MN. The variety was sold to me as kuganskaya. It has a sweet smell. It has been in ground for a few years and grows as a bush form here. My biggest issue with this fruit is making sure bunnies do not eat it. As you can see they grew from baseball to softball size this year. They are still sour even when baked so we are planning to try and make membrillo. Baked, they would be great over vanilla ice cream. [image] [image] [image]

Yes, I like difficult endeavors… Raised them in a hot house (summer) and heated 5 degrees C shed in winter. They are 5 trees of 5 years old each. Just put them in my orchard. Now producing a ton of flowers. Will keep only 3 quince per tree. Wondering best technics for helping them survive next hash winter season? Thanks for any advice!
