I’m guessing our hot, sunny, dry weather the last 6-8 weeks have led to early ripening. Chestnut usually doesn’t get ripe until Sept. 10-15. I’ve got Tolman Sweet fruit getting a rosy blush already. That shouldn’t happen for at least another month-6 weeks

We’ve been hotter than normal this summer, but probably about average for rainfall. It’s been a pretty nice year. I think next week the red clapps pears will ripen as well. My two pixie crunch trees are just loaded to the gills, looking forward to having a lot of them come October. They’re the perfect size for my children.
