According to the description from the website they are 75% cherry and 25% plum, but they look like 90% plum to me :astonished:

The box I got was very good but I think that my expectation was for a huge completely cherry tasting fruit. The big completely cherry tasting fruit most likely will happen but not yet. I really enjoy seeing the new fruit and especially finding them in the store.

I got these at the store a couple weeks ago and thought they were suprisingly good for grocery store fruit. I didnt get much cherry flavor though.

If that’s true it just shows you how powerful the plum gene is. Even at 25% it dominates the flavor profile of verry cherry

The real Very Cherry Plum to me, flavor wise, is a Candy Heart Pluerry. One person might say “this tastes great!” while another will say “no it does not!” Here is why: Taste Science - People Differ

I saw a bag of them at Walmart a couple days ago, for $3 a pound. I almost picked up a bag, but guess I’m a bit stingy. They also had a pound bag of apricots, but for $4, I passed on them as well.

There were some white peaches that looked good so I got a few of those. We tried some this morn, but they were pretty meh… Not sweet, not tart, not too peachy.

Totally honest.the packs i had were pretty average. Maybe they just weren’t peak ripeness. They still have 2lb bags at Sam’s Club .

Most of these plum x stone fruit crosses always end up looking like a plum, even those that have more apricot ratio in their parantage, for example. So, this indicates that the plum genes are dominant over its stone fruit cousins.

I wonder if I cross Flavorella plumcot with a peach, the fruit would probably end up looking like a plum?

Some of the Apriums look more apricot-like than plum. And another notable exception is Spice Zee. It looks 100% nectarine.

Is there any Apricot in Spice Zee? Brady

Try one now and see how you like them. I’ve found that they are best firm ripe. I dont care for them nearly as much when they are soft.

Ok I’ll try one later on today and save a few to soft ripe to compare.
