This sounds marvelous! I hope to try that when we get pears on our trees!
Fabulous shot, Trevor! And I’ll bet the nuts are fab, too.
I picked lots of Lisbon lemons today,I will be making North Carolina lemon pie with saltine crackers.
I was out in my garden and discovered one of my raspberry bushes is still cranking them out. Very sweet!
up until last week i was still getting a few handfuls here.
Those are lovely.
My lemons are a bit smaller this year. Even after fertilizing them monthly - every two weeks. It has gotten chilly far earlier this year, so the heat is now gone, with little time left for growth. The only plants still blooming are my tomatoes. Here is my lemon tree.
Will be making a lemon cake very soon!Had cherry tomatoes last night with dinner.
Our last Purple Heart. Left this one on till it started to crack. Weathered old soul. But it was reeeeeeaaaaaallllly good. These tended to be very tart - but this one was SWEET!
Several more Wonderfuls and Granadas still on the trees - waiting for them to look ripe. None of my Wonderfuls turned red this year, but Granada were great, for the most part.
I’m pretty sure you have a true Pink Lady. Most of the ones I have grown don’t get dark but a few does.
This pom is from a friend’s tree. I’m sure this is Wonderful. Starting to turn dark, that’s when the flavor gets more complex. Still could have been on the tree for 2 more weeks for peak flavor.
